Even the L15B naturally aspirated engine in the Honda Fit and the L15B turbocharged engine in the 10th-gen Civicstand out in their class. Despite their small displacement, they outperform many rivals. So, does that mean Honda is just about engines? 🤔

🔍 Ever Heard of Honda’s ATTS & SH-AWD? 🚀💡
Honda is deeply committed to motorsports. While red-top engines brought race-inspired performance to road cars, pure speed isn't just about horsepower—it's also about handling.
🚗 Enter ATTS (Active Torque Transfer System)—Honda’s secret weapon for improving cornering performance! It first appeared on the Honda Prelude in the ‘90s, making it one of the best-handling FWD sports coupes of its time.
But Honda didn’t stop there... ATTS evolved into SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive)—a game-changing AWD system that debuted in 2004 on the 2nd-gen Acura RL. 💡
What Makes SH-AWD So Special? 🤯
Unlike traditional AWD systems, Honda’s SH-AWD has no center differential! Instead, Honda took a unique approach by combining:

1️⃣ No center differential ➝ Instead, rear axle torque is always higher thanks to a special gearbox in front of the rear differential.
2️⃣ Electromagnetic clutches ➝ Actively control torque distribution to each wheel in real time.
3️⃣ Torque vectoring ➝ During a turn, more power is sent to the outside rear wheel, helping push the car into the corner instead of understeering.
