🛠️ A four-stroke engine’s secret:
The four essential cycles—intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust—keep your car moving. But only the combustion stroke generates power. Why highlight this? To emphasize the importance of a small but mighty component: the spark plug.

🚨 Recognizing Spark Plug-Related Issues

Does your car feel sluggish or struggle with cold starts? Even with regular maintenance, these symptoms persist? If yes, your spark plugs could be the culprit.

💡 Why Are Spark Plugs Important?

We reached out to Master Xiao Si from Guangzhou's Anon Workshop for insights. He explained that spark plugs:
Convert electrical energy into a spark to ignite the fuel-air mixture.
Help seal the cylinder head for efficient combustion.
Being consumables, they require regular inspection and replacement.

Most modern plugs use iridium or platinum electrodes, which last longer. While replacement is recommended every 60,000–80,000 km, Xiao Si suggests evaluating wear and gaps as each vehicle's requirements differ.

⚠️ Common Problems: Wear and Leaks

1️⃣ Electrode Wear: Over time, the gap between the central and side electrodes increases, weakening the spark and affecting ignition efficiency.
2️⃣ Leaks: Heat expansion and cooling cycles can fatigue metals, causing leaks that lower cylinder pressure and reduce performance.

🔍 How to Spot Issues

Mild leaks show as a yellow ring on the ceramic.
Severe leaks demand immediate replacement (see images below).
🧠 Pro Tip: Spark plugs are not universal! Each engine has unique requirements like thread size, length, and heat range.

🔑 Replacement Advice for Honda Owners

Provide your vehicle’s model, year, VIN, or engine type to find the correct spark plugs. To make it easier, we’ve compiled a guide for Honda’s original spark plug models to help you maintain peak engine performance.

⚙️ Remember: Cars thrive on 70% care and 30% repair. Don’t overlook spark plugs—they’re small but essential for a healthy engine!
